Terri Clemons

Terri.jpg

Terri has been an RN for nearly 30 years, making service more “who she is” than “what she does”. Her work as a nurse has allowed her many diverse opportunities over the years, having cared for others in teaching hospitals, as well as in

in their homes, a deaf school and even correctional facilities.  Terri gained teaching skills while working in education-based settings such as Wishard Memorial Hospital and Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, and Jewish Hospital in Louisville.  She has also worked in open-heart and transplant surgical settings, which has given her a great appreciation for the value of life.  Her work with inmates allowed her to see first-hand the long term affects of abuse and low self-esteem.  It gave her the desire to serve women and girls, and even the opportunity to start a Bible study group within a correctional facility.  She has cared for many indigent and inmate populations, which has given her a passion to serve the under-served.  When Terri is not caring for others, she operates Jazzi Gurl, a business she started with her then nine-year-old daughter. Jazzi Gurl started as a creative outlet for Terri and her daughter, but request from family and friends gave Terri the motivation to launch the business. Terri thought it was important to instill the entrepreneurial spirit in her daughter.  Terri currently lives in Louisville.  She and her husband, Tim, serve as Elders at their church, New Creation Worship Center-where Tim also serves as Associate Minister.  They have a blended family of three children, ages 27, 17 and 10.
